Evangelist Andrew Palau Preaches To Multitudes At Love Malawi Festival

The largest crowd in the history of Malawi's christian gatherings turned up to hear the message of hope and unity delivered by international evangelist, Andrew Palau at the Love Malawi Festival at the fields by Maula Prison in the capital, Lilongwe.

The event that took place on Saturday 20 August and Sunday 21 August marked the conclusion of the festival which began in early August with activities in Ntcheu, Mzuzu, Blantyre, Zomba and Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa.

Each day, Evangelist Palau delivered the message of hope ad unity and encourage people to give their lives to Jesus Christ.

He led people in praying for the city and the success of the nation and spoke about the importance of this by quoting Scripture in the book of Jeremiah 29 verse 7 which reads "Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

In the evening of each day, the renowned Gospel singer, Don Moen was performing live in front of thousands of Malawians who waited for so long to see him in the country.

The Praise and Worship Leader, Moen, thrilled the crowd with his famous songs including God Will Make A Way, God Is Good among others.

Other music performance were done by Dave Lubben ; Great Angels Choir, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers, KBG, Faith Mussa, Suffix, and Love Malawi Choir.

The festival also involved a high energy children’s program with Duggie Dug Dug from London, England as well as action sports demos from FMX and BMX stunt team Action Sports Outreach.

Love Malawi Festival is a partnership between the Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) and the evangelist Andrew Palau and Luis Palau Association.

Reverend Francis Mkandawire, General Secretary of The Evangelical Association of Malawi, said the event has acted as a stepping stone, where local churches have learnt that in unity they can achieve greater things.

Reverend Mkandawire added that, the festival has reshaped the Christian way of life among the Malawians who came to witness the event, saying they are now able to relate God with other things such as extreme sports and world class music. The general secretary has since assured Malawians that such festivals will be held regularly at local level.
