Win K5 million In Airtel Malawi Tayale Tayale Promo

Airtel Malawi has unveiled yet another exciting promotion dubbed Tayale- Tayale promotion.

The promotion which will run for a period of three months, ending in August, 2016 this an Airtel Money’s mobile money portfolio and that one lucky customer will at the end of the promotion win a grand prize of a whooping K5 million preluded by 2 lucky subscribers who each month will win K1 million each.

When unveiling the promotion in Lilongwe, Airtel Money Country Director Francis Matseketsa said Tayale-Tayale promotion is Airtel’s mission to innovate, grow and continue being the people’s brands of choice.

“We are encouraging customers to come on board to Airtel money and also come out of pillow and mattress kind of banking and use their mobile phones to transact as banking in their pocket.”

He therefore encouraged Airtel customers who are not yet on Airtel Mobile Money to get registered and start transact and win the prizes in the promotion.

The promotion will run until August 31, 2016 and the company is giving away a total prize money worth K25 million.

Mr. Matseketsa indicated that on daily basis, 100 people will win K2 thousand each throughout the period of promotion and that these daily winners will be determined by selecting the first 10 customers who pay bills on Airtel Money every hour between 8 am and 6 pm every day.

In terms of eligibility for the competition, he said only Airtel Money registered customers who transact on Airtel Money via bill payments, grocery purchases or sending money to family and friends within Malawi with minimum transaction amount of K2 thousand will qualify to enter the promotion.

“Customers will also be able to check their numbers of entry by dialing *727#” He said adding that draws will be conducted at the end of every month.

Standard Bank Partners With Airtel Money To Let Customer Bank Closer To Home

Standard Bank has partnered with Airtel Money in order to give customers seamless control of their financial transactions and take financial inclusion to a higher level.


Head of Personal and Business Banking Margaret Chaika Kubwalo said the bank is moving the next step forward in providing convenience and efficiency to customers by providing them platform that allows them push and pull money to and from their Standard Bank and Airtel Money Accounts.

The platform enables Standard Bank customers manage their money when making various transactions such as utility bills, airtime purchases and transfers and account balance.

"Now a Standard Bank customer doesn't need to come to Standard Bank to cash money from an ATM and push it to Airtel Money through Airtel Money agent. Now all that can be done in the convenience of their home." She said

Kubwalo also indicated that this partnership offers opportunity to Airtel Money customers who have no bank accounts but wishes to open an account with the bank. She said such Airtel customers are well come to open account with Standard Bank and move their mobile wallet from Airtel Money account to Standard Bank and start to access to other banking services not offered by mobile money.

For his part, Airtel Money Country Director Francis Matseketsa said the joint financial service confirms Airtel Money as the market leader in mobile money transfers.

As a service, Airtel Money has gained massive acceptance from our growing customer base during its four years in operation. Across, Africa, Airtel Money is the most widely used means of money transfer. On the other hand, Standard Bank as a financial services provider is a market leader on the continent. This partnership is about two best brands working together for the mutual benefit of our shared customers, said Matseketsa


He said the partnership will save customers time and money and is backed by the robust ICT network platforms the two providers are backed up with.

About the service, Matseketsa explains, "If one has a bank account with Standard Bank, will be able to pull money from one's bank account into mobile money wallet then start to do all Airtel money services like send money to relatives, pay bills, even approach the nearest Airtel Money agent to withdraw cash. So that is convenience."

"Further more, They can also move extra-money in their wallet to their bank account. So you can imagine a farmer in the rural area they have sold their harvest and they get cash. They load cash within their area where there is no standard bank branch and they push that from mobile wallet of airtel money into their bank account and they can interact with their bank any time.

Salima Woman Becomes Instant Millionaire In Airtel Tisanje Promo







Ruth Makowa from Chikwawa Greenbelt in Salima district is one of the three Airtel lucky customers and lucky customer from central region to walk home with K5 million grand prize money in Airtel Tisanje Promotion. 
Three winners from each region were unveiled on Friday during the final draw of Tisanje Promotion and each has won K5 million. However, two lucky customers from South and Northern regions could not be reached when Airtel tried to call them to break the news.


"Am very thankful of this prize money!" said excited Makowa in a phone call "Am going to start a nice business which am very hopeful it will help me a lot"


Makowa, said she previously worked as domestic worker but her husband works as electrician and mechanic at Greenbelt. 



Meanwhile Airtel Money Country Director Francis Matseketsa said Airtel is excited that its Promotions are not only satisfying but also changing lives of customers. 


He said giving out prizes to the lucky winners in the promotion is a true commitment from Airtel that it does not make empty promises but can only promise what it can deliver.


"…and for customer satisfaction, our commitment is always guaranteed" Matseketsa added while thanking customers for their overwhelming support throughout the promotion and promised for more exciting offers from Airtel.


He also disclosed that throughout the promotion the company got overwhelming response due to increased recharges, Airtel Money registrations and transactions which went up to 35% and subscriber base growth by 3%


"Tisanje as the name suggests has ably made our hundreds of our customers reap lucrative amounts of money" said Matseketsa


Matseketsa also promised that Airtel will reach and inform the winning numbers before the close of business of the day.


If we don't, he said "We have mechanisms in our network where we can tell exact location they are. Normally our numbers from a network point of view, they are known and picked that they are operating within such areas. Also we have sales team on the ground; we will go to the details of Know Your Customer (KYC) where we can go deeper and see if they provided us with their addresses."


Since its inception in August this year, Tisanje has made 300 people win K50 thousand chash prizes and 112 people win K100 thousand cash prizes weekly. Now, with the final draw where three lucky people from each region won a cool K5 million, in total Tisanje has splashed out a total sum of K41.2 million.

Airtel Malawi Launch Tisanje Promotion

Airtel Malawi has unveiled new promotion dubbed "Tisanje" where three grand winners will each walk away with Mk5 million translating to K15 million.



Airtel Malawi Country Director, Francis Matseketsa said the Tisanje promotion is aimed at bonding customers with the brand, increase recharges and add extra value to Airtel Money transactions.

He said to qualify and stand a chance to win, Customers that recharge their mobile account with K50 and above using Scratch-cards, Zachangu or Airtel Money will enter into the promotion by earning points for the draws.



On monthly basis, 56 lucky customers, that is 2 people from each district will win K100 thousand each. And 6 people will be winning K50 thousand on daily basis



“We would like to see our customers smiling all the way whilst enjoying Airtel service to the maximum.” Said Francis Matseketsa



“Tisanje as the name suggest is about reaping. All Airtel customers are bound to reap lucrative amounts of money every day, every month for as long as this promotions runs.”




Among other, Customer will be rewarded with Bonus minutes for recharges of K50 and above. Customers will also enter into weekly draw by sending or receiving money using Airtel Money. Short code 59999 and USSD code *599# will be communicated to the customers for checking points or unsubscribing from the promotion and all short codes are free of charge.

Airtel Malawi Donates K4 million to Malawi Marketers

The Chartered Institute of Marketers (CIM), Malawi Chapter has received a sum of K4 million from Malawi’s leading mobile telecommunications operator, Airtel Malawi.




The funds will go towards The 2015 CIM Malawi’s annual conference to be held in September this year at Sunbird Mkopola Lodge in Mangochi.




Speaking when presenting the cheque in Lilongwe, Airtel Money country director Francis Matseketsa said the donation was a token of appreciation for the role marketer’s play which includes business promotion.




He also stressed that the donation is centered around creation as well as foster partnership between marketers and Airtel Malawi’s products like Airtel money.




“Without marketers, there would not be anything competitive process of creating customer interest in goods or indeed services.” He said 




Added Maseketsa, “Without marketers there would not be any channel to build strong customer relationships and create value for customers and individual service or goods providers” 




The Airtel Money country Director, further noted that this year’s CIM conference deserve support from Airtel because marketers will use their conference to market some of Malawi’s potential areas for investment. He said that is in line with key fundamentals that Airtel Malawi promotes through its range of services for the growth of Malawi’s economy.




Matseketsa added that the CIM conference is significant as it will bring together different marketers to deliberate on issues that advocate for the sanity, integrity and promotion of the dynamic marketing profession.

CIM Malawi chapter director, Francis Moto, says the money will go a long way in assisting the September conference. He also said CIM plans to build a class room block in Mangochi as its corporate social responsibility.
