for peace and prosperity of the place the Lord has put us,” through prayer
which he emphasized that it has the power to change everything.
He said the aims of the festival are to seek for the prosperity and peace of the city of which they
are living in and he encouraged them to read the bible and believe the
message of Jesus Christ saying his message is still relevant today and it possess power of answering every deepest question that people have in their lives.
He also spoke to the gathering about
how to find peace in their hearts and shared with them his story about how Gospel
of Jesus Christ transformed his life from a young man who pursued selfish life
desires up to the age of 27, the moment the power of prayer changed him after
hearing the Gospel at a Festival in Jamaica.
The dinner was attended by some well
known business persons and politicians including the former vice president Dr.
Justin Malewezi and Leader of Opposition Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Former Vice President, Dr.
Justin Malewezi gave a motivational talk on how quality leadership can bring
success in everything. He said a good leader take full responsibility of
anything while the bad leader passes blame on somebody or something when
something goes wrong.
He reminded people of Ghanaian
proverb called “A team of sheep lead by a lion can defeat the team of lion lead
by a sheep.” Malewezi got a standing ovation when he ended his talk stressing
that most institutions, political parties or sporting teams are failing to
perform because of leaders and not the institutions.
