Catholic legislators have been asked to be defenders of life which is now facing
threat particularly from legislations that are proposing termination of life
for unborn babies.
Lilongwe Senior Residence Magistrate Court has convicted and sentenced Linda Chinula to 3 years jail term for importation and 2 year jail term for being found in Possession of Dangerous Drug, Cocaine and these sentences will run concurrently.
A young Malawian woman who sells
cocaine has been arrested by Police at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) on
Friday when police confiscated her luggage containing dangerous drug, cocaine weighing
two kilograms.
The Ministry of Education has
commended Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi for taking lead
in increasing number of role models for girls by training more female primary
school teachers in their Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs).
The Lilongwe based poetry and music entertainment
company, Chia Productions, has organised an end of year poetry festival dubbed Kutsendera
2016 Msangulutso Wa Alakatuli on December 11, 2016 to thank

Blantyre City North legislator,
also veteran musician, Allan Ngumuya says is bringing again in the National
Assembly a motion which seeks development of policy that will require all Malawi
media broadcasting houses play more local music in order to enable home artists
collect enough proceeds from Copy Right Society of Malawi (CoSoMa).
