M1 Centre Point Hosts Kutsendera 2016 Poetry Festival This Sunday










Poetry loving fans in Lilongwe will have an early Christmas treat this Sunday as Chia Productions brings Kutsendera 2016 Msangulutso Wa Alakatuli at M1 Centre Point.

Chia Productions Public Relations Manager Nafe Misasa said Kutsendera 2016 festival this Sunday, December 11, 2016 is both pre-Christmas entertainment and an end of year poetry festival by Chia Productions aimed at thanking poetry loving fans for the support they have given to the poet industry and all poet events organised by their company in 2016.

"This is a big show that intends to appreciate fans for supporting the growth of poet industry in the country." He said

"As we are concluding 2016, we would like to express our gratitude to our fans through this show for their continued support to poet industry and us as Chia Productions during all poetry events that we have been organising in 2016. We appreciate this support because together we have contributed to the course of promoting the growth of poet industry in the country."

Misasa disclosed that Nyamalikiti Nthiwatiwa, Robert Chiwamba, Joseph Madzedze, Hudson Chamasowa, Raphael Sitima, Mr. India and Wantali Savala Gogoda are among the Malawi's renowned poets to share the stage on the day.

"We would like to make this show more memorable. So, Atcheya and Aunt Gate will be there also" he added

Kutsendera 2016 show will also include live musical performance from Innocent Chitimbe, Greciam Nyambo, Saint, Richard Phopheya and Captain Chigwe. Radio DJ's from Galaxy FM, Timveni and PL FM will also spice up the show by showcasing their music mixing skills.

"Since we are approaching Christmas and New Year festive season, Chia Productions has added more fan to the show. So, the audience should expect some fun competitions and more surprises including fantastic Christmas gifts on the day." He promised

Various companies comprising; Garani Mw1, Bicco International, SuperSakuwa Limited, Chroma Properties, City Phone Technologies and By Faith Investments have also sponsored the event as a way of thanking their customers.

According to Misasa, the show will start from 1 pm and that fans will be required to pay at the gate an entry fee of K1500 per individual but K1000 for advance tickets which are available at Kafoteka Filling Station, Garani Mw1 behind K99 shop and at Glob Star.
