Parliament To Meet Early In 2017: House Adjourns Sine Die Today


The Malawi National Assembly is expected to meet much earlier next year possibly in February to allow the House do away with the business which could not be finished during the Meeting which has come to an end today.

Poetry loving fans in Lilongwe will have an early Christmas treat this Sunday as Chia Productions brings Kutsendera 2016 Msangulutso Wa Alakatuli at M1 Centre Point.

Chia Productions Public Relations Manager Nafe Misasa said Kutsendera 2016 festival this Sunday, December 11, 2016 is both pre-Christmas entertainment and an end of year poetry festival by Chia Productions aimed at thanking poetry loving fans for the support they have given to the poet industry and all poet events organised by their company in 2016.

Malawi Arrests Rwandan Genocide Convict Murekezi

Malawi Police have arrested the suspected 1994 Rwandan genocide convict, Mr. Vincent Murekezi.

National Police Spokesperson, James Kadadzera has confirmed that today police acted on Rwandan Government request sent to Malawi Government to have Murekezi arrested and extracted to Rwanda on genocide.
